Free entry for refugees

Out of solidarity with people who have fled from war, we open our doors to refugees. Free admission is unbureaucratic by presenting a valid Ukrainian ID document or corresponding proof at the cash desk for all refugees. This means that exhibitions can be visited free of charge during the regular opening hours Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice. We also offer guided tours in Ukrainian and Russian.

Solidarity with Ukraine

It is with great shock that we have all been following the destruction and suffering because of the war of Russia in Ukraine for days. A war in Europe with all its unimaginable atrocities that we unequivocally condemn!

All our sympathy and solidarity goes to the people of Ukraine.
And also to all those who stand up for peace and humanity in Russia, here in Augsburg and everywhere!

It is therefore important for us as the Kunstsammlungen & Museen Augsburg to maintain our open attitude towards different world views and cultures.
Art knows no national borders.
We appreciate the different perspectives and the exchange across all borders.

Neue Galerie im Höhmannhaus

Exhibition: 26.05. - 30.10.2022, Free Entry
In cooperation with the foundation 'Peace for Art', Neue Galerie im Höhmannhaus presents three positions of current artistic photography from Ukraine. With a clear, undisguised view and in great atmospheric density, the works of all three participants appear documentary and artistically brilliant at the same time. The existential threat to the country, which is under attack from Russian aggression, is reflected in their photographs, as are descriptions of poverty, isolation and social hardship
