Beauty on the EdgeInterdisciplinary audiovisual installation

With the project 'Beauty on the Edge', the artists Martina Claussen (sound), Kerstin Skringer (painting), Lydia Daher (photo/text) and Stefanie Sixt (video) formulate their positions on social expectations and cliché-driven norms for women. What invisible, repressed and devalued realities play out at the edges of these norms? In a dialogic creative process, the artists intervene in current discussions (e.g. about care work, the value of the outside versus the inside) and create an exhibition in which the experienced and the lived, the private and the political are interwoven.
