From June 1, 2024, the Maximilian Museum will be presenting Augsburg goldsmiths' art from the Renaissance to the Biedermeier period in the Silver Vault, including silver objects from the legacy of collector and patron Kurt Viermetz. The exhibition continues the tradition of the famous warehouses of the Augsburg silver merchants, known as the Silver Vault, which were a major attraction in the imperial city in the 18th century.
