Splendid souvenirSilver from the legacy of Kurt F. Viermetz

On April 27, 2022, Augsburg's honorary citizen and patron of the Maximilianmuseum, Kurt F. Viermetz, would have turned 83. To mark the occasion, the Maximilianmuseum is presenting a studio exhibition of objects from the important silver collection that Mr. Viermetz generously bequeathed to the museum. After their complete presentation in the summer of 2020, most of the Augsburg silver pieces were integrated into the permanent exhibition of the Maximilianmuseum. The current show presents further pieces from the Viermetz Collection under various aspects of European drinking and table culture. It thus provides the opportunity to get to know the precious legacy of Kurt F. Viermetz even better.
