Julia Klemm - Dimensions

Fragmented, alienated, reduced lions. Public lion monuments from all over Europe form the basis of Julia Klemm's latest works. By means of 3D models, she creates partly multicolored ceramic impressions, which she transforms into differentiated sculptures. With the lion, the Munich-based artist deconstructs a powerful symbol that stands for royalty, domination, masculinity, Bavaria, greatness and strength and puts these themes up for discussion.
